Miranda Abshire and children die in drunk crash in Alvarado Texas

Reports coming out of Alvarado, Texas state that three people have been killed, two of which are children, in a car accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred on U.S Highway 67. Miranda Abshire, a 22-year old woman was killed in the accident, with her two children, Adrian and Cruz Abshire. The accident occurred when a pick-up truck was travelling in the wrong direction and hit the car that Abshire was driving. There was a third child that was also injured, but was taken to the hospital. The driver of the pick-up truck was also taken to the hospital with injuries. Police believe that the driver of the truck, Ricardo Martinez, was drunk at the time of the accident. However, they are still investigating the cause of the incident.

It is crucial to remember that drunk driving can be fatal. As in this case, a young woman and two very young children died because of a decision that could have easily been avoided. 

Reports coming out of Premont, Texas state that the driver and passenger of a truck were injured in a car accident. The accident occurred on Highway 281 at about 6 AM when the pick-up truck lost control. The car rolled a few times and ejected the driver, Martin Hernandez, and Patricia Hernandez, from the car. Both were in their early 20s. Law enforcement believes that the weather is a cause for the accident. They also believe that neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
