Reports coming out of San Antonio, Texas state that a man was grievously injured after being involved in a car accident. The incident occurred at about 3 AM on Interstate 35 North near Benz Ingleman. Law enforcement believes that the driver was driving at a very high rate of speed and he lost control of his car. He crashed into a pole and was taken to the hospital. He died from the injuries sustained in the accident.

Was the driver under the influence of alcohol? Was there an emergency that he was attending to? Though this accident only involved the driver, one can only imagine what would have happened if there had been another car.

Fatal car accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

Joseph Stratton was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Cypress. At about 7 PM, along Tealbrook Drive, he hit a woman who was walking along the road. She was taken to the hospital and died from the injuries sustained in the accident. Stratton was arrested for failing to stop and render aid.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families of the victims. We understand that they may have been deeply saddened by the accidents. We understand that they may have many questions.

Did Stratton see the woman? Were the car’s headlights on? Was he driving at a speed above the speed limit and was unable to stop in time? Does this incident trigger a wrongful death claim?
