Scholar involved in fatal motorcycle crash in Athens, Texas

Reports coming out of Athens, Texas state that Scholar, of Aubrey, died in a fatal vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 5:30 PM on U.S. 175. Police reports state that a motorcycle, ridden by Scholar, was about to go on the off ramp when a pick-up truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle. The truck that was stopped at the sign failed to yield the right of way. Scholar died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. Creel, of Palestine, was the truck driver and was not injured.

The driver of a Jeep SUV died in a fatal single-vehicle accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 6 AM on I-35 in Belton, Texas. The SUV seems to have rolled over on the southbound I-35 frontage road near the Shanklin Road exit. The driver of the SUV died from his injuries at the accident site. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
