Two people sustained life-threatening injuries after a car accident occurring in Amarillo, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the accident happened at Amarillo Boulevard West and North Lipscomb at about 10 AM. A Ford Escape was eastbound on Amarillo Boulevard West when it crossed the median into traffic. The Ford hit a westbound Chevy Suburban. The driver of the Ford, Khorshed Khoshan and the driver of the Chevy, Teri Lynn Sibly, were both taken to the hospital with very serious injuries.

Police believe that speed is a factor in the accident.

Why did the driver of the Ford cross over into incoming traffic? Was there a vehicle malfunction? Was the driver distracted?

As you can imagine, car accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

A driver driving north on southbound Texas 121 hit a vehicle that was going the other way in Haltom City. The accident occurred near Minnis Drive, at about 5 AM. The driver going the wrong way was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other driver was injured but not seriously.

The reason for the wrong-sense driving is not yet known.

Our thoughts and support go to the victims and their families. We hope that they make a speedy recovery. We imagine that the families may have many questions.

Why was the driver going the wrong way? Since it was early in the morning, could it be possible that the driver thought that the highway was the correct sense instead?

Do these accidents trigger a wrongful death claim?
