Crecencio Delgado of Monte Alto, Texas was killed in an automobile-pedestrian accident. According to the police, Delgado was crossing Valdez Road near Calle de Monte Street at about 1 AM when a Ford Mustang hit him. Delgado died from the injuries that he sustained in the accident.

It is believed that Delgado failed to yield to the vehicle. It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the accident.

As you can imagine, pedestrian accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

Reports coming out of North Richland Hills state that Luther Norton, of Hurst died when he crossed Boulevard 26. The accident occurred in the 6000 block of Precinct Line Road at about 9 PM. Law enforcement believes that Norton was wearing dark clothing and the driver of the vehicle that killed him could not see him. The police do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the accident. Norton died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. The driver of the vehicle was not injured from the accident. No charges are thought to be placed in this case.

Our thoughts and support go to the families of the victims. We imagine that they may be deeply saddened by these incidents and that they may have many questions.

Did the pedestrians look in both directions before crossing the street? Was alcohol a factor in the first accident? Did the driver in the second accident have their lights on?
