Gage Tibbetts was pronounced dead at the scene of a recent car accident. He was the 42nd person to die on roads in Midland County this year and the third death this year on FM 1788. A Copperas Cove man died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on FM 1788 south of State Highway 191. A police investigation shows that a semi hauling a trailer was angled perpendicular on FM 1788 while attempting to reverse into a business. Everyday auto accidents occur across Texas.
