Ashley McLemore perishes in Lufkin, TX motorcycle accident.

On Behalf of | Jan 14, 2014 | Wrongful Death |

This past Sunday, a Lufkin, Texas woman died in a San Augustine County motorcycle crash. The Texas Department of Public Safety recently released the names of those involved.  The motorcycle driver was a man from Bronson that was injured but survived.

Those involved were identified as Ashley McLemore and Myers. Myers was riding a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle with McLemore. The female rider was on the back of the motorcycle when the accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. According to a report, the motorcycle driver drove off FM 705, resulting in the crash. Police officials report that neither rider was wearing a helmet.

Our thoughts go out to Ashley McLemore’s family. She was a young lady. We can imagine that the family may have several questions. What was the true cause of the accident? Was there something in the road that caused the accident? Was there a road hazard that the rider tried to avoid? Did he loose control? Was he speeding? Was he drinking and driving?

Too many motorcycle accidents occur in Texas. Too many drinking and driving accidents happen as well. It is a shame when motorcycle accidents result in the wrongful death of a person. While we do not know whether this motorcycle accident is a wrongful death case, some Texas lawyers employ experts and investigators to learn the facts.

If you have questions about Texas motorcycle accident law whether you are in the Lufkin or Houston area, feel free to contact a personal injury lawyer.
