On Behalf of | Dec 31, 2013 | Truck Accidents |

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that two people died in an 18-wheeler accident. The truck accident happened neat Alice, Texas.  The two people from San Antonio were in a 2004 Dodge Dakota. Texas DPS claim that they crashed into the tractor-trailer. The Texas DPS’ position is that Dodge truck crashed into the 18-wheeler. However, is that how the accident happened? Is this Christmas day truck accident a wrongful death accident?

According to reports, Mr. Henry Falcon was at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and County Road 116 when he turned into the right lane. The authorities have taken the position that he failed to yield right of way to the oncoming tractor-trailer. The big rig was headed south on 281, according to DPS.

Falcon and passenger Natividad Falcon, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The wreck happened some time after 3:00 p.m. The death related crash occurred about four miles north of Alice, Texas, not too far from Corpus Christi. Was this accident the result of a truck driver error?

Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the two individuals that perished in the truck accident. The family may have many questions that have gone unanswered. Sometimes an independent investigation should be had, especially in 18-wheeler accidents. Texas lawyers often use investigators to determine the actual cause of a vehicle accident.
