David Michael McBryde of East Texas has died from his injuries following a truck accident. The collision occurred sometime around 3:30 a.m. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that the 54-year-old man of Bloomburg was driving a Chevrolet Lumina headed eastbound on Hwy 155 when he crossed over in the westbound lanes on a curve and collided head on with an 18-wheeler that was travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, 39-year-old Juan Carlos Alvarado of Tyler was treated at Good Shepherd Medical Center and has since been released. A Cass County Justice of the Peace pronounced the driver of the Lumina, David Michael McBryde, dead at the scene at about 4:00 A.M.
It is difficult to fathom the thought of celebrating the holidays following any fatalities from truck accidents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the McBrydes in their time of grief.
