Wrongful Death Car Accident at 9700 West Bellfort

Charges have been filed against the man that police authorities suspect causes a fatal traffic accident on July 28, 2013. This may be a wrongful death case. The suspect was arrested in the fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 9700 block of West Bellfort in Houston, Texas. The accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. this past Sunday.

The suspect’s name is George Arthur Marion, III. He is charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. The 339th Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas is holding the case.

The person that suffered the fatal injuries and possibly head and spine injuries was 19 years old. The victim’s identity is pending notification to family members. Our hearts and thought go out to this family that lost this young loved one.

The suspected intoxicated driver in this potential wrongful death case was driving a silver Nissan Maxima going westbound on West Bellfort. The police suspect that he was speeding when he lost control and failed to control the vehicle. That was when it went into the median and crashed into a metal pipe located at the bridge. The vehicle then traveled across the bayou and toward the culvert.  The passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. There was another passenger in the vehicle. The surviving passanger with accident related injuries is 20 years old and was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital. This persons condition is unknown. However, we suspect, neck, back and head injuries.
