Matthew Williams' primary practice area is commercial litigation involving contract disputes, construction defects and property damage claims.  Additionally, he has a wealth of knowledge obtained as in-house counsel enabling him to effectively evaluate commercial risk, product and services liabilities, corporate transactions, asset purchases and sales as well as corporate policy matters for his business clients. 
Mr. Williams is a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Marine Engineering.  Before graduating from law school, he worked for nearly a decade in the energy industry first as a field service engineer and production engineer with the General Electric Co. and later a combined-cycle powerplant design engineer with Duke/Fluor Daniel, LLC.   Following law school, he served for 8 years as In-House Commercial Counsel for Granite Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the General Electric Co. serving the global energy and Oil & Gas industries in over 135 countries.  While working full-time, Matthew graduated from the South Texas College of Law in 2005 where he earned his Juris Doctorate.

Mr. Williams enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and traveling as often as possible.  He and his family are members of the Harvest United Methodist Church in Missouri City, Texas.
