Rebecca Read died in a car accident close to Fairfield, Texas. Three other people were in the vehicle as well. The unfortunate incident occurred on July 18, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Read was in a vehicle with three other girls headed on a trip on I-45. Reports also indicate that this was when the driver of that car veered off of the highway, overturned the steering wheel in attempts to get back on, and caused the vehicle to roll over. Read died as a result of the extreme injuries she sustained in the collision. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Read.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about fatal collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
