Sha’Trell Jamon Kendrick died in an accident in Jones County, Texas. Brianna Celeste Lopez was arrested in connection with the collision. The unfortunate incident occurred on April 17, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Kendrick was driving on Farm-to-Market 1597 with his current girlfriend as his passenger. Reports indicate that this was when Lopez purposely collided head-on with Kendrick’s vehicle causing the crash. Kendrick’s passenger was hurt in the crash, but her condition is unknown. Kendrick died as a result of the extreme injuries he sustained. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Kendrick. We also hope that the passenger makes a speedy recovery.

Why did Lopez allegedly cause this accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. Lopez is allegedly being brought upon a charge of murder.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury and wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits.
