On Behalf of | Oct 26, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

Samantha Garza is dead and one man is injured after an alleged drunk driver crashed into her and another manin San Antonio. The fatal accident occurred on October 24, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially if evidence proves that the driver was indeed under the influence.

Garza was driving her car when it ran out of fuel on Interstate 37 towards Drexel. A man saw Garza and pulled over to assist her. Suddenly another car crashes into them as Garza and the man were filling the car up. The man was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in critical condition. Garza died as a result of her critical injuries. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Garza and the man that stopped to help.

The driver of the car that crashed into them was taken into custody and is suspected of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

It is truly sad that a woman is dead and a man is hurt all because of the selfish actions of another person. There is simply no excuse for operating a vehicle while under the influence. Every time someone turns the key to start the engine it is their responsibility to ensure that they are not impaired in any way.

The police are looking for more information into this fatal accident. Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death, personal injury and accidents caused by drunk drivers.
