Car crashes into pool after 2 vehicle car accident in Florida

On the evening of August 28, 2015, two vehicles were involved in a car accident at an intersection. One vehicle, a Mazda 3, was carrying a mother and her two children when it was struck by an Acura sedan. The Mazda was sent barreling into a nearby resident’s pool after it crashed through a few small trees and the surrounding fence. The vehicle then flipped upside down before being partially submerged in the pool. Witnesses state that the accident occurred after 3:00pm near the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and some heard the accident occur from inside their homes.

A resident in the neighborhood witnessed the scene, and rescued the children and mother from the Mazda. He pulled the mother out through the sunroof, and the children through the trunk. Local media and neighbors laud him as a good Samaritan.

Another member of the community provided dry towels as well as water for the mother and children who were likely shaken up by the accident. The mother expressed her gratitude for the aid she received.

Local law enforcement suggested that Acura driver may be at fault. The driver of the Acura, a thirty-seven year old woman, may have been negligent; however no citation has been issued. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.

The driver of the Acura claimed that she did not see the Mazda. Local residents suggested the area was dangerous because accidents occur in the area frequently. One witness suggested the area is dangerous for pedestrians as well as drivers.

Attorneys do not always rely on police reports to obtain information. Personal injury lawyers often hire private investigators to gather more facts about each case and the true cause of an accident. Are you looking for answers to your questions?
