Two killed in fatal drunk driving incident in Austin, Texas.

Reports coming out of Austin, Texas state that Eleanor Bailey Lane-Brown and Ancieto Ocamposoto were involved in a fatal car accident due to drunk driving. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 3:30 AM at the intersection between East Parmer Lane and Dessau Road. Police believe that the accident happened when the driver of an SUV, Herman Choc, collided with another car head-on when he was driving in the wrong direction on the road. This collision caused Choc's vehicle to flip over, after which another car collided with it. Eleanor Lane-Brown, 23, was a passenger in the car that Choc collided with head-on. She died from the injuries she sustained in the accident. The driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Two of Choc's passengers were also injured-one of them has a possible spinal injury and the other, Ancieto Ocamposoto, died from his injuries. Choc was not injured and when found at the scene of the incident, is reported to have had above the legal blood alcohol level limit. Choc will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Crystal Nuncio killed in drunk driving crash in Garland, Texas.

Reports coming out of Garland, Texas state that Crystal Nuncio, 28, a police dispatcher, was killed in a drunk driving incident. According to law enforcement, the incident occurred on LBJ Freeway, near Jupiter Road at about 5 AM. Police believe that Luis Angel Rodriguez, 25, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Rodriguez was driving the wrong way on the road when he collided head-on with Nuncio's car, a Chevrolet HHR. Nuncio died from her injuries while her two passengers, her two children of 10 years old and 9 months old, were hospitalized. The former is in critical condition while the 9-month old child is stable. Rodriguez was also taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. He will be charged with intoxication manslaughter and assault.

Susan Burns & Mike Krochmal in car crash in Cape Coral, FL.

Susan Burns and Mike Krochmal were involved in a fatal car accident in Cape Coral, Florida. Police believe that the accident occurred at about 6 PM near Bridge Plaza and College Parkway on McGregor Boulevard. Harold Burns was driving a Kia Sorrento on McGregor Boulevard and attempted to turn left into the Bridge Plaza. He collided with a Ford F-350 as he was turning. The Ford pushed the Kia in the way of a Saturn L300, which collided with the Kia. Harold Burns and one of the passengers, Pam Krochmal, were taken to the hospital. Burns does not have critical injuries whereas Krochmal has severe ones. Unfortunately, Susan Burns and Mike Krochmal died from their injuries. We wonder if this was a case of distracted driving or if the drivers simply could not see each other.

Manuel Soliz Jr. in fatal head-on car crash in Benavides, Texas.

Manuel Soliz Jr., 25, was involved in a fatal vehicle accident in Benavides, Texas. According to law enforcement, Soliz was driving on FM 2295 in a Mercury Grand Marquiz when he drifted over into the opposite lane. This caused an oncoming car, a pick-up truck, to collide with the Mercury head-on. The driver of the pick-up truck, Patrick John Hannom, and his passenger, Francisco Cervantes, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Soliz unfortunately died from his injuries. It is unknown as of yet why Soliz drifted into the opposite lane. We wonder if this was a case of a vehicle malfunction or distracted driving.

Dorthy Ranew involved in fatal car crash in Gadsden County, FL.

Reports coming out of Gadsden County, Florida state that Dorthy Leann Ranew was involved in a fatal car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on County Road 269, near Potter Road at about 9 AM. Police believe that Ranew was driving on the road when she lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree on the side of the road. Though she was taken to the hospital, she died of her injuries. It is as of yet unknown what caused Ranew to lose control of her vehicle. We wonder if this may have been a case of vehicle malfunction, distracted driving, an attempt to avoid an obstacle in the road, or an attempt to pass another vehicle.

Charles Campbell in fatal semi crash in Jacksonville, Florida.

Reports coming out of Jacksonville, Florida state that Charles Robert Campbell died in a fatal vehicle accident that involved two semi-trucks and two cars. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on I-95 at about 3:30 AM. Police believe that a semi tractor-trailer attempted to avoid hitting a piece of debris in the middle of the highway. This caused the semi-truck to lose control and it struck the concrete barrier. There was a Chevrolet Blazer SUV that was also travelling in the same lane that was incapable of stopping and it slid underneath the semi. The driver of the SUV, Campbell, died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. Another semi-truck was travelling behind the first one and successfully avoided the debris but rear-ended another car. The people inside of the car were taken to the hospital, but are reported to not have serious injuries.

Ashley Coffin & Jason Hill in fatal head-on crash in Cleburne, TX

Ashley Coffin, 24, and Jason Hill were involved in a fatal head-on collision in Cleburne, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred near the intersection of Texas 174 and Old Foamy Road at about 7 PM. Two vehicles collided at the intersection head-on-a flatbed truck and a Dodge Ram. The driver and one of the passengers in the Dodge died from their injuries-Coffin and Hill. In addition, there were three children that were younger than 4 years old in the Dodge. They were taken to the hospital but do not seem to have critical injuries. Two passengers in the flatbed truck were also taken to the hospital but also do not seem to have critical injuries. It is as of yet unknown what caused the accident. We wonder if this could have been a case of distracted driving or failure to yield right of way. We also wonder if this case could trigger a wrongful death claim.

Vera Cowie involved in fatal three-car crash in Alvarado, Texas.

Vera Cowie, 10, died in a fatal car accident that involved three vehicles in Alvarado, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on I-35, between County Road 401 and US 67. Police believe that a Dodge was driving on the highway at about 6 PM when it hydroplaned. This caused the Dodge to begin spinning, which made it collide with a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. This collision caused the Hyundai to swerve into the median and cross into the opposite lanes. It was subsequently hit by a Lexus CT200h. Cowie was a passenger in the Lexus and unfortunately died from her injuries. The other passengers and drivers of the cars were taken to the hospital. It is unknown as of yet what their conditions are.

Heath Nequent in fatal motorcycle crash in Beaumont, Texas.

Reports coming out of Beaumont, Texas state that Heath Nequent was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred in the 1700 block of Cardinal Highway at about 2 PM. Police believe that the motorcycle, while travelling on the road, made contact with a car. This caused the motorcyclist to lose control of his motorcycle. Nequent was thrown off and consequently died at the scene of the accident.

Parker Weber involved in fatal car crash in Lubbock, Texas.

Parker Weber, 17, was involved in a fatal vehicle accident in Lubbock, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred near the 5400 block of I-27 at about 7 PM. Police believe that Weber was driving north on the highway when his car drifted across the highway median and collided with a semi-truck head-on. Weber died from the injuries he sustained in the accident, while the driver of the semi-truck, Ivelim Kahchev, received only minor injures. We wonder what could have been the reason for the accident. Was this a case of a vehicle malfunction or distracted driving? Was Weber attempting to avoid an obstacle in the road or trying to pass another vehicle on the highway?

Ashlie Jacobson involved in fatal car crash in Sarasota, Florida.

Reports coming out of Sarasota, Florida state that Ashlie Marie Jacobson, 23, of North Port, was involved in a fatal car accident. Law enforcement believe that the accident occurred on US-41 and River Road at about 7:30 PM. Police believe that Jacobson was driving north on the highway when she lost control of her car. The car went off the road and hit a utility pole. Jacobson died from the injuries she sustained in the accident. Police believe that speed may have been a factor in the accident and may have been a cause of the driver losing control.

Barbara Raulston in fatal 18-wheeler crash in Paris, Texas.

Barbara LeAnn Raulston was involved in a fatal car accident in Paris, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred in the 600 block of Southeast Loop 286 at about 9 PM. Police believe that Raulston was driving a Dodge Journey and was waiting to turn onto CR 11300. The driver of a Honda Civic rear-ended the Dodge, pushing it into the path of an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler could not stop in time and T-boned the Dodge. Raulston was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries. The driver of the Honda and 18-wheeler were not injured.

Emma Keown killed in hit-and-run incident in Madeira Beach, FL.

Reports coming out of Madeira Beach, Florida state that Emma Keown, 20, was killed in a hit-and-run incident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 2 AM on Gulf Boulevard. Keown was skateboarding with a few other individuals when a Dodge Ram pick-up truck hit them from behind. The driver of the truck fled the scene of the incident. Though police did locate his vehicle at 13707 Plymouth Street, they still have not located the perpetrator. Though Keown was rushed to the hospital, she died from the injuries she sustained. It is unknown as of yet the health conditions of the other individuals she was with.

Peter Olivier involved in fatal rollover crash in Lantana Florida

Reports coming out of Lantana, Florida state that Peter Olivier, 20, from Boca Raton died in a fatal roll-over accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on I-95 near Exit 61. Police believe that the vehicle, an SUV, lost control and rolled over. Another vehicle collided into the SUV, causing the seven individuals inside of the car to be ejected. Olivier was the only fatality but four other individuals suffered critical injuries, while the other two individuals suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car that hit the SUV suffered only minor injuries. It is unclear as to why the SUV lost control. Perhaps this was a case of a vehicle malfunction, distracted driving, or perhaps the driver was attempting to pass another car.

Melissa Soto involved in fatal car accident near Arlington, Texas

Melissa Soto, 23, of Pomona California was involved in a fatal vehicle accident near Arlington. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at the intersection between Old Blue Mound Road and Farm Road 156 at about 8 PM. Police believe that Soto did not stop at the intersection, causing her to collide with a tractor-trailer. Soto died at the scene of the accident while two of her passengers were taken to the hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. We wonder what may have caused Soto to not stop at the intersection. Was it a case of distracted driving or perhaps a vehicle malfunction?

Roger Moreno involved in fatal rollover crash in Laredo, Texas.

Reports coming out of Laredo, Texas state that Roger Moreno was involved in a fatal car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on I-35 on Mile Marker #37. Police believe that the F-250 pick-up truck which Moreno was a passenger of tore a tire on the highway. This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and the truck rolled over. Two of the other passengers suffered from non-critical injuries and were taken to the hospital but Moreno died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Tyler Galpin involved in fatal head-on collision in Tyler, Texas

Reports coming out of Tyler, Texas state that Tyler Steven Galpin, 19, of Whitehouse was involved in a fatal head-on collision. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 7:30 AM on Highway 69 North and County Road 427. Police believe that Galpin was driving a 1995 Buick Century and he was driving north on the highway. Monica Cook, of Lindale, was driving south in a 2005 Nissan Titan. Though the cause of the accident is unknown, we know that Cook and Galpin collided head-on. Galpin died from the injuries he sustained in the accident, while Cook, along with her two children, Kathin, 16, and Paige, 11, were taken to the hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition. We wonder what may have been the cause of the accident. Perhaps this was a case of distracted driving or perhaps one of the drivers was attempting to pass a car on the road and did so unsafely.

Corpus Christi Chief of Police in fatal motorcycle crash in Texas

Corpus Christi Chief of Police Floyd Simpson was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Port Aransas, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 5:30 PM on Texas State Highway 361. Simpson was heading south on the highway when a Ford truck, driven by a 16-year old, that was driving north swerved into the southbound lanes. Simpson attempted to avoid the truck and hit his head against the pavement. Though he was wearing a helmet, it flew off and he died from the impact. It is unknown as of yet why the driver of the truck swerved into the opposite lanes. We wonder if this was a case of distracted driving or if there was a vehicle malfunction.

Two young women in fatal single-car crash in Grimes County, TX

Reports coming out of Grimes County state that Alexis Emmou, 22, of Killeen, Texas and Corinthia Cunningham-Williams, 22, of Brookshire, Texas were involved in a fatal single-car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 1 AM on FM 244, near Carlos, Texas. The driver, Emmou, was driving at a high speed and turned a curve at that unsafe speed, causing the car to go off the road and crash into a tree. Emmou and Cunningham-Williams both died at the scene of the accident, while two others in the vehicle were taken to the hospital. One of the passengers, Tyra Preston, 20, of Houston, was reported to be in stable condition but the other passenger, Rene Contreras, 20, of Kyle, was in critical condition.
