No-injuries accident involving school bus in Weslaco, Texas.

Reports coming out of Weslaco, Texas state that an accident occurred between a vehicle and a school bus. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM near the Texas Boulevard overpass. A PSJA ISD school bus with eighteen students was heading back from Brownsville when it collided with a truck. The bus was behind the truck when the latter suddenly stopped in the middle of the highway. The bus driver did not have enough time to react and rear-ended the truck. Fortunately, nobody was injured.

Four individuals injured in head-on car crash in Forney, Texas.

Reports coming out of Forney, Texas state that four individuals were injured in a head-on collision. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 8:45 PM on U.S. Highway 80 near Broad Street. Reports state that one of the cars was travelling west on the eastbound lanes of the highway when it collided with the second car head-on. It is unclear as to why the accident occurred. We wonder if this might have been a case of distracted driving or if the driver was attempting to pass another vehicle or avoiding an obstacle in the road.

Student Vincent Ireland in fatal car crash in Saginaw, Texas.

Vincent Ireland, a 17-year old student at Saginaw High School, was involved in a fatal car accident in Saginaw, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 9 PM on the 900 block of East McLeroy Boulevard. The cause of the accident is unknown, but reports state that that the car hit a utility pole and cut the car in half. It should also be noted that it was raining at the time of the accident, which may be a factor in the accident. Ireland was in the back of the car and died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. The three others in the car were injured, but not seriously. We wonder if the cause of the accident was due to the weather. Perhaps the car hydroplaned, left the road, and crashed into the pole.

6 year old and man killed in drunk driving crash in Houston, TX.

Reports coming out of Houston, Texas state that a 6-year old boy and a man were allegedly both killed in two drunk driving incidents caused by the same man. According to law enforcement, the first accident occurred at about 3:30 PM in the 6600 block of Fannin. Blaine T. Boudreaux was driving a Dodge 1500 pick-up truck when he allegedly hit another car. Inside the car were two people, one of them being Carmen Esparza, and a 2-year old. These individuals were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. However, about three hours later, Boudreaux hit Leonard Batiste in the 4400 block of the Texas 5 Spur, near the University of Houston. Boudreaux did not stop to render and assist and instead drove on. He allegedly passed out at a red light in the 1400 block of Lockwood and East Freeway. He was woken by the honking of another driver and subsequently ran the light and collided with a Honda Civic head-on. The two individuals in the Honda, a mother and a child were hospitalized. The mother is critically injured while the child, 6-year old Joshua Medrano died from the injuries he sustained in the incident. He was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.

Derrick Davis involved in fatal car accident in Temple, Texas.

Reports coming out of Temple, Texas state that Derrick Davis, 19, of Houston was involved in a fatal car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 3 AM near Southeast HK Dodgen Loop and Highway 95. Police believe that Davis, the driver of the vehicle, a Nissan SUV was driving west on the highway when the car veered off the road and rolled over. There were two other passengers in the car, a 19-year old woman and a 21-year old man, who were hospitalized with non-critical injuries. However, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear as to why the car drifted off the road and rolled over. We wonder if this was a case of distracted driving or if there was a vehicle malfunction.

Jason Pope involved in fatal head-on collision in Midland, Texas.

Reports coming out of Midland, Texas state that Jason Wayne Pope was involved in a fatal accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 3:30 AM on I-20. Police believe that Pope was driving a Chevrolet Silverado east on the south service road of the highway when he collided head-on with a GMC Sierra that was driving west. The driver and the passenger of the GMC were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries, but Pope was killed from the injuries he sustained in the accident. Police also believe that Pope was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. It is unclear as to the exact reason for the accident. Perhaps one of the drivers veered into the other lane and collided head-on with the other vehicle. If this was the case, we wonder if the reason for this action was due to a vehicle malfunction. Perhaps one of the drivers could not see the other because of the early time of day.

Albert Garrett in fatal 18-wheeler accident in Chilton, Texas.

Reports coming out of Chilton, Texas state Albert Patrick Garrett of Troy, Texas was involved in a vehicle accident that also involved an 18-wheeler. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 6 AM at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and State Highway 7. Police believe that Garrett was driving north on Highway 77 when an 18-wheeler that was driving west collided with Garrett's Chevrolet pick-up truck. It is believed that the 18-wheeler slid into the northbound lanes because of the wet weather. Garrett died from the injuries he sustained in the accident while the driver of the 18-wheeler, Louis Diggs Holms was not injured at all. We wonder if this case could trigger a wrongful death claim.

Injuries sustained in motorcycle-auto crash in Texas.

Reports coming out of San Antonio, Texas state that there were a few minor injuries caused by a motorcycle-auto accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM on I-10 near Vance Jackson. A pick-up truck was travelling east when it hit the retaining wall of the highway when a motorcyclist in front lost control of his motorcycle and fell off. In order to avoid hitting him, the driver of the truck swerved and hit the wall. The truck's passenger along with the motorcyclist were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Ashley McLemore killed in drunk motorcycle crash in Texas.

Reports coming out of San Augustine County, Texas state that Ashley McLemore died in in a drunk motorcycle incident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on FM 705. Police believe that the driver of the Yamaha motorcycle, Joshua Myers, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed off the road. Neither Myers nor his passenger, McLemore were wearing helmets. They were both sent to the emergency room, but McLemore died of her injuries. Myers was charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Two children killed in drunk driving crash in Liberty Hill, Texas

Two children, Kirsten Draper, 9, and Koby Draper, 15, died in a drunk driving incident in Liberty Hill, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 9 PM off of Highway 183. Police believe that John Alvarado was driving a Ford F-150 when he hit a Nissan. The Nissan was attempting to turn onto Saratoga Springs Drive when the Ford rear-ended it. Alvarado was charged with intoxication manslaughter when two of the four children in the Nissan died from their injuries. The two other children, Kody and Kristopher, as well as the mother, Kirsten Draper, who was the driver, were hospitalized and are currently in critical condition. Alvarado is also believed to have been driving with a suspended license.

David Crunk involved in fatal motorcycle crash in Austin, Texas.

David Crunk was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Austin, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 9 PM near Staked Plains Drive along Lakeline Boulevard. Police believe that Crunk was driving along the boulevard when he lost control of his motorcycle. He subsequently hit a Ford Mustang that was driving the opposite way and was pinned under the car. Crunk died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. Police believe that speed was a factor in the accident.

Jaqueline Galindo in fatal single car crash in El Paso, Texas.

Reports coming out of El Paso, Texas state that Jaqueline Galindo, 18, was involved in a fatal single car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 3 AM on the 5000 block of Gateway Boulevard South. Police believe that Galindo was driving south in a Dodge Neon when she lost control of the car. This caused the Dodge to hit a light pole. Galindo died from her injuries. It is believed that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. It is unknown as to why she lost control of the car. We wonder if there was a vehicle malfunction or if there was something in the road that she was attempting to avoid.

Man dies in hit-and-run bicycle incident in Ector County, Texas.

A man was involved in a fatal bicycle hit-and-run incident in Ector County, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 12 AM on West 16th Street and Polaris Avenue. The victim was hit by an unidentified car while riding his bicycle. The driver of the car fled the scene and an investigation is currently underway to find the perpetrator. The bicyclist died from the injuries he sustained in the incident. It is important to note that if one is driving a vehicle and strikes another vehicle, pedestrian, motorcyclist, or bicyclist, that fleeing the scene of the incident is a crime.

Two men involved in fatal pedestrian-auto accident in Austin, TX

Reports coming out of Austin, Texas state that Kenneth Edward Colton and John David Price were killed in a pedestrian-auto accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 6 AM on Burleson Road and Promontory Point Drive. Police believe that Colton was walking across the street when he was struck by a car. Price was attempting to help Colton out of the road when he was also struck by another car. It is unknown as to why the accidents occurred. We wonder if the drivers were able to see the pedestrians in the early morning light. We wonder if the drivers may have been driving above the speed limit and if so, if they were unable to brake in time. We also wonder if Colton was crossing the street legally or if there was jaywalking involved.

Allan Smith in fatal head-on car crash in Waxahachie, Texas.

Allan Dale Smith was involved in a fatal head-on collision in Waxahachie. According to law enforcement, the car accident occurred at about 8 PM on FM Road 66. Police believe that Smith was driving on the road in a Honda Accord when he drove into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Jeep Cherokee that was being driven by Kyndal Faye Esselman. Esselman did not have enough time to react and hit the Honda. Police believe that Smith pulled out of his lane and was not able to see the cars coming towards him. Smith died from the injuries he sustained in the accident while Esselman was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Motorcyclist involved in fatal accident in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Reports coming out of Corpus Christi, Texas state that a motorcyclist died in a vehicle accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 10 PM on South Padre Island Drive East, near Airline Road. The accident involved not just the motorcycle but another car as well. Police believe that the motorcyclist was driving at too high speeds and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe that was on the road. The motorcyclist hit the car with such a force that he sustained fatal injuries.

Two fatalities in truck accident in San Antonio, Texas.

Reports coming out of San Antonio, Texas state that there were two fatalities in a vehicle accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred on Loop 410 at about 2:30 PM. Police state that a driver of a truck lost control of the vehicle near the Cherry Ridge entrance. This caused the truck to hit the concrete pillar on the road. Two people died at the scene of the accident while another person was hospitalized with severe burns and is critically injured. It is not known yet as to what the exact cause of the accident was, or why the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Man suffers head injury in motorcycle crash in El Paso, Texas.

Reports coming out of El Paso, Texas state that a man suffered a critical head injury in a motorcycle accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 7:30 PM at the intersection between Trowbridge and Gateway North. Police believe that the motorcyclist ran a red light and collided with a Tahoe vehicle that was heading east. Though the motorcyclist was only slightly injured, his passenger suffered more grievous injuries. The driver of the car was not injured. Police believe that the cause of the collision was the motorcyclist running a red light at the intersection.

Maleeca Smith killed in drunk driving crash in Austin, Texas.

Maleeca Shon-Teal Smith, 20, was killed in a drunk driving incident in Austin, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 10:30 PM on Burnet Road. Shawn Amende, 26, was driving a Chevy Camaro north on Burnet Road when he ran a red light, which caused him to hit a Nissan Altima that was driving east on Gracy Farms Lane. Amende and his passenger were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries but Smith died from her injuries. Police believe that Amende was speeding when he ran the red light and that he had already gone through a few red lights before he hit the Nissan.

Kyle Dawkins killed in a drunk motorcycle crash in Harris County

Reports coming out of Harris County state that Kyle Dawkins was killed in a drunk driving motorcycle accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on East Freeway near Beltway 8. William Scott was driving east on the highway when he rear-ended Dawkins's motorcycle. Police believe that Scott was intoxicated while driving and he will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Jeffrey Coleman involved in fatal car crash in Tye, Texas.

Jeffrey Coleman, a resident of San Bernardino, California was involved in a fatal accident in Tye, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 4 PM on the FM 707 exit on I-20. Police believe that the pick-up truck that Coleman was driving collided head-on with a Brinks Security truck. The driver of the security truck was not injured. It is unclear as to what exactly caused the accident. Was this a case of distracted driving? Did one of the drivers not notice the other car?

17 fatalities and injuries in 18-wheeler crash in Fort Worth, TX.

Reports coming out of Fort Worth, Texas state that seventeen fatalities and injuries were sustained in a vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler. More specifically, there were five fatalities, two critical injuries, and ten who suffered minor injuries. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 2:30 AM on I-30, when a driver, who was driving west, crashed into a concrete barrier near Oakland Boulevard. A few people stopped to help, and this is when an 18-wheeler crashed into the group that seemed to be in the lanes of traffic. The collision may have caused the 18-wheeler to burst into flames. Three fatalities have been identified as Veronica Gonzalez, Mary Hernandez, and Clarissa Alexandra Banda-Castillo. Gonzalez's husband, Ely Alba-Gonzalez was also injured but his condition is not yet known. One person with critical injuries has been identified as Tracey Franklin. The 18-wheeler driver was also injured but not critically.

Reports coming out of Houston, Texas state that a person and nine other people were taken to the hospital due to a drunk driving incident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 10 PM in the 1500 block of Gears Street, near Crown Park. The drunk driver, Jose Martir Salazar-Ramirez, was driving in the wrong direction when he collided head-on with a pick-up truck. Inside Salazar-Ramirez's car, a Mitsubishi, were two other people. The fatality was one of the passengers, while the other passengers, including those who were in the truck, were taken to the hospital. Included in the other vehicle were a few children, who had to be taken to the hospital as well. However, they seem to be in stable condition.

Richard Davey in fatal motorcycle crash in Mabank, Texas.

Reports coming out of Mabank, Texas state that Richard Davey was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 2 PM, when Davey was riding his motorcycle northwards on Texas Highway 198. A car that was heading down East Jeter Street failed to yield the right of way and crashed into Davey. According to police reports, the driver of the car was an unlicensed minor who was driving with a learner's permit. The passenger was a licensed adult.

Student James Malone in fatal bicycle crash in Southlake, Texas.

James Malone, a 16-year old high school student at Southlake Carroll Senior High School died in a fatal bicycle accident in Southlake, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 8 PM in the 600 block of Byron Nelson Parkway. Malone was riding his bicycle on the parkway when he attempted to cross Lilac Lane and was hit by a car. The cause of the accident is unknown. We wonder if the driver simply did not see the bicyclist.

Daniel Moran involved in fatal workplace accident in Argyle Texas

Daniel Moran, 22, was killed in a workplace accident in Argyle, Texas. The accident occurred at Argyle High School where another accident had taken place earlier. According to law enforcement, Jose Moran, Daniel's father, was driving a truck that was hauling two trailers. Daniel was guiding his father from the back and he got stuck by the tires of the last trailer. This caused him to get run over by the 18-wheeler.

Savannah Taylor in fatal head-on collision in Magnolia, Texas.

Savannah Michelle Taylor, 21, was killed in a fatal car accident in Magnolia, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on FM 1774. Taylor was driving south on the highway in a Ford Edge when another driver, Xavier Keyshawn Nero, 17, who was driving a Ford Explorer, crashed into her head-on. Reports state that Nero overcorrected after he went off the road, which caused him to collide with Taylor's car. Taylor was killed from the injuries she sustained in the accident, while Nero was taken to the hospital and released. We wonder if this case could trigger a wrongful death claim.

Reports coming out of Longview, Texas state that Rachel Elizabeth DeLorme, 19, of Hallsville was involved in a fatal car accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 12 PM on FM 2208 near Longview. Police reports state that the driver of a Ford F-150 pick-up truck, Phillip Lamar Martindale of Arp, was on the highway when a Hyundai Accent, driven by DeLorme, drove into oncoming traffic and hit the Ford. DeLorme died from the injuries she sustained in the accident while Martindale was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Five critically injuries in car crash in Handy Township, Texas.

A car accident in Handy Township, Texas left five people critically injured in the hospital. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 11 PM on the Nicholson Road overpass on I-96. A Nissan Altima was driving on the highway when it left the road and crashed into a Ford F-150 that was parked behind a Ford Ranger. When the Nissan rear-ended the Ford, a man who was in between the two Fords was thrown. A woman who was getting out of the F-150 was also injured because of the crash. The driver and two passengers of the Nissan, which included a man, his wife, and his 1-year old baby, were also taken to the hospital with injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown. We wonder if this was a case of vehicle malfunction or perhaps the driver was attempting to avoid an obstacle in the road, which caused him to lose control of the car.

Nicholas Rayburn involved in fatal car crash in Abilene, Texas.

Reports coming out of Abilene, Texas state that Nicholas Rayburn, 17, was involved in a fatal accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 10 PM on the 7700 block of Buffalo Gap Road. Police believe that the accident occurred when Rayburn attempted to avoid debris in the road and left the road and hit a tree. There was another passenger in the car who was Rayburn's mother, Sara Crutcher. Both were taken to the hospital, but Rayburn died from the injuries he sustained in the accident, while Crutcher is now in stable condition.

Four people injured in car accident in New Braunfels, Texas.

Reports coming out of New Braunfels, Texas state that four people were injured in a car accident. Police believe that the accident occurred at around 3 AM on Loop 337 and River Road. A Toyota Avalon was driving on that street when a Jeep Wrangler attempted to turn in front of it. Two people from the Toyota and two people from the Jeep were taken to the hospital. They are believed to not have serious injuries.

Student Paul Miltenberger in fatal hit-and-run in Dallas, Texas.

Reports coming out of Dallas, Texas state that Paul Robert Miltenberger, 20, was involved in a hit-and-run incident. According to law enforcement, the incident occurred at about 2:30 AM, near the DART rail station in the 5500 block of East Mockingbird Lane. Miltenberger was attempting to cross the six-lane road when he was hit by a Dodge Charger. Miltenberger was a student at the University of Missouri. According to police, he was not crossing on a pedestrian crosswalk when he was attempting to cross the road. The driver of the Dodge did not stop to render aid.

Rosalinda Bruno involved in fatal car crash in Galveston, Texas.

Reports coming out of Galveston, Texas state that Rosalinda Bruno died in a car accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM at 40th Street along Sewall Boulevard. Bruno's car, a Dodge Journey, was parked on the seawall. Police state that Gerado Flores, who was driving a Chevrolet Impala was driving the wrong way along the boulevard (westbound in eastbound lanes). Flores drifted over into the parking lane and hit Bruno's car with such force that both cars flew off the seawall. Bruno died from the injuries she sustained in the accident, while Flores was taken to the hospital, though not with life-threatening injuries. Flores was also charged with manslaughter.

Student Corey Byrnes in fatal car crash in San Antonio, Texas.

Corey Burris Byrnes, 18, was involved in a fatal car accident in San Antonio, Texas. He was in the backseat of the car when the accident occurred. According to reports, he was pronounced dead at the scene. There were four other people, including the driver, who were taken to the hospital. The cause of the accident is unknown. All five in the car were students at Trinity University in San Antonio.

Raymond Miller involved in fatal car crash in Magnolia, Texas.

Raymond Ted Miller, a teacher from Magnolia, Texas, was involved in a car accident at about 7:30 AM. According to law enforcement, he was driving south on Highway 60 when his car, a Nissan Versa, went off the road. Miller overcorrected and drove into the opposite lane, into oncoming traffic. He collided with a Chevrolet pick-up truck head-on. Miller died from the injuries he sustained in the accident, whereas the driver of the Chevrolet, Richard Light, was injured, but not critically so.

Iris Ortega involved in fatal car crash in Castle Hills, Texas.

Reports coming out of Castle Hills, Texas state that Iris Ortega was killed in a fatal accident. Law enforcement believes that Ortega was a passenger in Adam Morales's car. Morales had previously been attempting to fake his identity at a bank. The police followed him, causing Morales to drive at a high speed. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Ortega was ejected from the car and died from his injuries. Morales left the scene of the accident and is now facing charges of evading arrest and failure to stop and render aid.

Cody Hare involved in fatal 18-wheeler crash in Big Spring, Texas

Reports coming out of Big Spring, Texas state that Cody Rhea Hare was killed in an accident involving an 18-wheeler. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 2 PM on Ranch Road 33, near Garden City. Police believe that the 18-wheeler was driving north on Ranch Road 33 when it drove into the southbound lane and hit Hare's car, a GMC pick-up truck. Hare died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler, Philip Edward Davoust from El Paso was not critically injured. Police believe that Davoust passed left dangerously, not looking to see if there were any cars coming.
