April Ranolls from Orange County, Texas, died in a car accident that involved an 18-wheeler. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at around 6 AM on Texas 62. Ranolls was in a 2014 Chevrolet and was driving south when a 1995 Freightliner 18-wheeler, driven by Adam Dewling, hit her. The 18-wheeler was turning from a parking lot.
Was this a case of distracted driving? Since it was early in the morning and perhaps it was dark outside, did Dewling simply not see Ranolls’s car? Were the cars’ headlights on?
Sheila Clemens of Florence died in a fatal car accident. The accident occurred on Bell County Road in Killeen. Clemens was driving her 2001 Toyota Prius west on Farm-to-Market 2484 when a 2001 Chevrolet pick-up truck hit her. More specifically, the accident occurred between Harker Heights and Salado. Law enforcement believes that the inclement weather may have been a factor in the accident, but the complete story is unknown as of yet.
Reports coming out of San Angelo state that Khushbu Bhakta, who was 21 years old, died in a car accident near Ozona. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 8 AM on State Highway 163. The passenger, Avni Bhakta, who was 19 years old, was taken to the hospital. She was severely injured. Police believe that the car, which was a 2009 Toyota Camry, ran off the road and overturned.
