Alexandra Paccone, who was 20, was involved in a fatal car accident in Nacogdoches, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 1 PM in the 1300 block of North Stallings Drive. Paccone was driving west when she lost control of the car and hit an SUV who was travelling east. The driver of the SUV, Joe Max Green, was taken to the hospital. Paccone died from the injuries that she sustained in the accident. A passenger of Green’s, Gordon Ray Lewis, was also taken to the hospital.
Our thoughts and support go out to the family and community of the victim. We imagine that they may have been deeply affected by this tragedy. We also sincerely hope that those in the hospital recover quickly. We wonder what may have been the cause of the accident? Was there a vehicle malfunction? Was this a case of distracted driving? Was the driver attempting to avoid an obstacle in the road?
Vehicle accidents are not uncommon in Texas. Occasionally and fortunately, some vehicle accidents do not end in serious injuries.
An 18-wheeler accident shut down U.S. Highway 75 southbound in McKinney for one night. Reports state that the accident occurred at about 10 PM. One of the 18-wheeler’s wheels blew out, causing the rig to hit a guardrail near Wilmeth Road. This collision caused a fire, which burned the vehicle down. The truck driver fortunately, did not sustain any injuries.
Eighteen injured people, ages ranging from 13 to 16, were taken to the hospital after a vehicle accident involving a Cleveland Independent School District bus and an 18-wheeler. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on U.S. 59 at Will Clayton Parkway at about 2:30 PM. Fortunately, none of the victims were seriously injured. However, police are still investigating the accident since its cause is as of yet, unknown.
