Josey Scott of Shepherd, Texas was killed in a hit-and-run incident. The college student was jogging near FM 2666 at Red Road when a car hit her from behind. Law enforcement believes that the suspect is a man from Cleveland, Texas. Fortunately, he turned himself over to the police later on that day and charges are expected to be filed.

We imagine that Josey Scott’s family and community were deeply affected and saddened by this tragedy. Our hearts and thoughts go out to them and we hope that the appropriate measures will be taken against the perpetrator of this crime.

As you can imagine, hit-and-run occurrences are not uncommon in Texas.

An elderly couple was grievously injured in a hit-and-run incident in San Antonio. They were driving on Highway 281 near Loop 1604 when a truck hit them from behind as well. The impact was so large that the couple’s car flipped over six times. The driver of the truck did not stop to investigate the damage that he had caused and police are now searching for a suspect.

Though the victims of this crime were seriously injured, they were taken to the hospital and we hope that they will be in stable conditions.

Our thoughts and support go out to the victims and their families and we sincerely hope that the suspect is found and brought to justice.

The families of these victims may have a wrongful death claim.
