Texas school district has two bus accidents in two days

This blog has previously reported on school bus crashes in the Houston area, and unfortunately they continue to happen. When parents put their child on a bus in the morning, they shouldn’t have to worry about putting their child’s safety at risk. But sometimes the accident can be caused by other drivers hitting a school bus, and they will be the ones held responsible.

Recently two school buses with the Humble Independent School District were involved in separate accidents in back-to-back days. In the first accident, a car hit a middle school bus. According to a spokeswoman for the school district, a car ran a red light and hit another car, and one of the cars was pushed into the bus.

Fortunately, no students on the bus were injured, but some high school students riding in the cars involved in the collision were taken to the hospital.

In the second accident, a high school bus was involved in a head-on collision. According to the spokeswoman, a student on the bus, the bus driver and driver of the car that hit the bus were taken to the hospital. Some other parents took their children to doctors on their own.

While in both accidents it appears that the bus drivers were not at fault, that does not mean that there is no one for parents to try and hold accountable for any reckless actions. Additionally, the occupants of the car that was hit in the first accident may also want to explore the possibility of trying to get monetary damages for their injuries or any pain and suffering.
